Fountain City Coffee Services was built on a foundation of hands-on expertise, real-world shop ownership, and years of trusted technical support in the specialty coffee industry. The journey began in the café world, co-owning Brightside Bakery & Café, where the daily challenges of running a shop highlighted how critical reliable equipment and dependable service truly are. That perspective deepened with the creation of Sleepy Bee Coffee Co. , where balancing ownership, operations, and coffee culture underscored the need for equipment partners who go beyond simple repairs.
Parallel to entrepreneurship, Jacob Wright developed deep technical expertise as a Coffee Equipment Technician and later Lead Technician with FairWave Specialty Coffee Collective and EspressoTech Service Company. Over these years, he specialized in repairing, installing, and supporting the very equipment cafés rely on daily, while also managing teams and supporting large-scale service operations.
Today, as the founder of Fountain City Coffee Services, Jacob combines technical mastery with a café-owner’s mindset. That unique blend shapes the company’s philosophy:
